This week, GIA celebrated club day, it was a time for the different clubs to showcase the activities that they do, it was fun for all the pupils as they had a chance to see what the clubs had to offer. Among the presentations there was Taekwondo with a brief demonstration. Science club showed the importance of using soap in washing our hands to keep it clean. Swimming club told the pupils about the benefits of swimming in cardiovascular health and demonstrated different swimming styles such as the backstroke, front crawl and butterfly stroke. Drama enthralled the pupils with their sketch. Homemakers showed the pupils how to make the bed and how some decorations can be made using ribbons. Chess club also give a brief presentation of the benefits of playing chess, as a great tool to help in rententive memory, they also showed us some pieces such as the knight & the queen. The young readers club taught the pupils about the benefits of reading, how it improves vocabulary and comprehension. The young pupils in ballet club showed off their flexibility with their dance moves. The pupils had so much fun learning from each other.
